Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit (Med Surg Tele) in a Level III Trauma Center.
Serve a patient population of all ages.
Float to similar med/surg units as needed.
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call requirements: As needed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Skills & Experience

Experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing.
IV insertion skills required.
Professional demeanor expected.

Work Environment & Tools

Unit uses Meditech electronic health record (EHR) system.
Medication dispensing via Omnicell system.
Scrub color: Any (casual wear not allowed).

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
