Travel RN Opportunity – Critical Care

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Facility: 8-bed Critical Care Unit, 2nd Floor

Position Details

• Specialty: Critical Care RN
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Schedule: Alternating every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: None
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in critical care
• Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care
• EHR System: Meditech Magic
• Float Requirements: MedSurg, Behavioral Health

  • Respiratory failure
  • Sepsis
  • Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
  • GI bleed
  • Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (Afib RVR)
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Chronic Renal Failure

Candidate Profile

• Must Have Skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Teamwork skills
• Preferred: 2+ years critical care experience
• Personality Fit: High energy, receptive to direction
• Education: AHA EKG/Rhythm course required

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs
• Unacceptable Attire: Crocs, Hey Dudes shoes, t-shirts with logos, scrubs with cartoon characters
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Travel Requirement: Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
