Job Opportunity: Travel Anesthesia Tech
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Anesthesia Tech (Certified Anesthesia Tech certification required)
- Shift: Day shift with possible call duties
- Shift options: 05:30-14:00, 09:30-18:00, or 08:30-17:00
- On-call required daily, especially for heart cases
- Weekend on-call required
- Unit: Operating Room (OR) - 2nd floor, Main hospital building
- Unit Size & Staff:
- 11 ORs, 2 endoscopy rooms, 3 cath labs, MRI
- Anesthesia department staff: 2 full-time anesthesia techs, 9-10 CSTs, 9-10 RNs, 1 CNC on day shift
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: GE anesthesia machines
- EMR System: EPIC
Requirements
- Certifications:
- Certified Anesthesia Tech (Cer.A.T.T.)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech
- Previous experience with heart setups required
- Preferred Skills:
- Willingness to train new staff
- Experience with ordering supplies
