Job Opportunity: RN - Oncology (Travel)

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Specialty: Med-Surg/Oncology
Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: All inpatient areas
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Unit: M1 Med-Surg/Oncology
Trauma Level: Level 3

Required Qualifications

License: Registered Nurse (RN) license required for Maine
Certifications: BCLS or BLS required; Chemotherapy certification preferred
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Med-Surg/Oncology specialty (highest required)
Skills: Experience with Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
Clinical Knowledge: Cancer, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), Pneumonia (PNA), General Surgery patient care

Work Environment & Culture

Joint Commission Accredited Teaching Hospital
Focus on relationship-based care and flexibility in scheduling
Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems used: Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
Patient Population: Adult oncology and med-surg patients

Location Highlights
