CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Rockford, Illinois
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Job Summary

Administer Roentgen rays and operate CT equipment.
Interface with electronic medical records and PACs systems.
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and administer appropriate medications per hospital policy.

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois.
Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Exposure to electrical, biohazards, radiant energy hazards, and infectious agents.
Use of eye and face protection, gowns, sterile and non-sterile gloves, radiation protective clothing, and radiation monitoring devices required.
Physical demands include lifting, positioning, pushing, and transferring patients; prolonged standing/walking; manual dexterity; and good vision for close and distant observation.

Schedule

12-hour shifts starting at either 6:30 AM or 1:30 PM.
Weekend rotation required, working one Saturday and one Sunday per weekend starting at 6:30 AM.

Additional Notes

Drug-free workplace with mandatory negative drug screen.
Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours.
Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles.
Call off policy allows 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty.
