Location
- Centennial, Colorado
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Evening and night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- 2 years of ED experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
- Must submit a driver’s license
- Must float within a 60-mile zone
Schedule
- Schedule is set by leadership based on department needs
- Schedules are released 4–6 weeks in advance
- Orientation is 2–3 days
- Must be in state for the week of orientation
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
Work Setting
- ER/ED float pool
- Floating is required throughout the assigned zone
- No home base facility
- Patient ratios vary by acuity, typically 1:4–5
- Charge nurse takes an assignment
- No separate psych/seclusion rooms
- No monitor techs
- RT is available 24/7
- Techs support unit secretary work, assist on the floor, and help with triage
- Point-of-care lab testing is performed by trained staff
Clinical Focus
- Common patient types include abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
