Registered Nurse – Med/Tele 2N
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Unit: New 10-bed Med/Tele unit (Regional Admissions)
Assignment Details
- Length: 14 weeks (approximately)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm–7am)
- Hours per week: 36
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
- Scheduling: Block scheduling allowed
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday: Rotation unless approved time off
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Telemetry nursing experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity
- Successful completion of at least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- Current, active RN license valid at time of submission (no license restrictions allowed; NURSYS report required)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- ACLS certification
- Ability to titrate drips
Candidate Experience & Submission Requirements
- Experience must be in a hospital similar in size and acuity to the facility
- Resume must include:
- Number of beds and trauma level of all facilities worked in the past 3 years
- Employment type for each position (permanent, travel, PRN)
- Number of shifts worked per month if PRN
- Submission must include:
- Full availability including all requested time off
- Start date aligned with compliance timelines
- Current references within Med/Telemetry specialty
Onboarding & Orientation
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly (dates provided by employer)
- Monday appointments with occupational health and HR if needed
- Classroom orientation begins Tuesday after Monday appointment
- Onboarding must be completed at least 7 calendar days before start date
Additional Notes
- Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted
- Quick start requests require prior approval
- Interview process includes clinical profile review and manager interview
- Expect calls from a 912 area code; voicemail will be left if unanswered
