Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 6 suites/labs.
• Average 10 to 15 cases per day.
• Duties include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating.
• Use of EPIC, PACS, and McKesson cardiology systems.
• Cardiologists are on call 24/7.
• Shifts are 9-10 hours with rotating weekends, holidays, and weekly on-call rotation (8-9 call shifts per month).
• Call response time is 30 minutes from page.
• No floating required.
• Scrubs provided by hospital.
• Orientation lasts 3 to 5 days, with 12 non-billable orientation hours.
• Mandatory call list used if staff cannot fulfill call shifts.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) certification
• Active Illinois license or proof that application process has started

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
• Previous Cath Lab experience required.

Scheduling & Work Hours

• 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week (40 hours/week).
• Rotating weekends, holidays, and weekly on-call shifts.
• Call shifts require availability approximately 8-9 times per month.

Additional Information

• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius.
• Drug-free workplace; negative drug screen required for all panels.
• Call off policy allows 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty.
