CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Soldotna, Alaska
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations as ordered by providers and directed by radiologists.
• Utilize clinical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Determine appropriate patient positioning and scan parameters for each study.
• Review images for clarity and accuracy to assist radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude and adhere to professional standards.
• Monitor imaging console to adjust density and contrast for optimal image quality.
• Proficient in operating PACS and EMR systems for exam staging and documentation.
• Ensure correct patient identification on all images.

Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts with varied days.
• On-call as needed.
• Approximately 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiography.
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience (higher of any conflicting experience requirements).
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (R) certification.
• ARRT CT certification required within 18 months of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Information

• OT paid after 8 hours per day and after 40 hours per week.
• Local candidates accepted with no adjustment in pay or OT rates.
• Client may cancel up to 24 hours in advance during a 13-week assignment without penalty.
