RN - Med-Surg Unit

Overview

• Contract role in Fort Defiance, Arizona.
• 20-bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics.
• Adult geriatrics and pediatric patients.
• Staffing ratios: non-Covid typically 4:1, max 5:1; Covid patients typically 2:1, max 3:1.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• American Heart Association ACLS.
• American Heart Association PALS.
• 3 years of Med Surg experience.
• Med Surg experience within the last year.
• Experience working with Adult patients.
• Experience working with Pediatric patients.

Schedule

• 12-hour day shift.
• Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Typical schedule is 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, plus up to 1 on-call shift per week.
• Maximum of two shift call-offs.

Additional Details

• May be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed.
• Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings.
• Orientation is on Mondays only.
• May float to other departments where qualified, including patient care or task-oriented support roles.
