Job Description

• Provide quality patient care by performing treatments and procedures according to established protocols
• Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment
• Administer specified medications as allowed by policy, licensure, and State Practice Act
• Respond safely and promptly to patient requests and report significant observations to the RN
• Understand and deliver care according to the patient’s plan of care, participating in planning and implementation under RN direction
• Follow hospital and nursing policies, identify emergency situations, and initiate appropriate nursing measures within scope of practice
• Instruct patients in self-care according to teaching plans and document patient care activities
