Job Title

Obstetric Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Nursery)

Location

Hilo, Hawaii

Employment Type

Contract (13 weeks)

Job Description

Provide care for laboring mothers, assist with delivery, and immediate care of newborns.
Provide post-delivery care for mothers.
Use computerized systems including Meditech and fetal monitoring systems (GE/Centricity).

Unit Details

Labor & Delivery: 8 labor beds
Postpartum: 18 beds

Schedule

Variable shifts including day and night shifts.
12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week after orientation.
Scheduled 12-hour call at least once per month.
No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Minimum 1 year of postpartum nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
BLS certification.
NRP certification.

Additional Information

Orientation week precedes regular shifts.
Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
