Respiratory Therapist - Nights

Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust plan of care within a multidisciplinary team.
Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge instructions.
Accept reassignment to other units as needed.
Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a role model for clinical practice.
Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.
Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a relevant field.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
Illinois state respiratory therapy license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Maternal Health Care (NRP-MHC) certification.
