Radiology Technologist

Overview

• Shift: Monday–Friday, either 1:00 PM–9:30 PM or 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit / Department

• X-ray department
• Covers routine x-rays, portable exams, fluoroscopy exams, OR C-arms, Endoscopy suite, pain management, and the Kayden outpatient center across the street from the hospital
• Performs scheduled Dexa exams, walk-in routine x-rays, and image-guided arthrograms fluoroscopically for MRI

Required Qualifications

• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
• ARRT (RT)
• RT-R
• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science

Preferred

• Experience working with EPIC
• Certification and experience working with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform radiological (X-ray) imaging
• Read imaging orders and consult with physicians when orders are unclear, complex, or warrant deeper review
• Select appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters
• Interview patients to identify safety-related risk factors
• Guide and reassure patients through examinations
• Upload imaging results into PACS
• Record information into the EMR system
