Surgical Tech - Certified

Overview

• Surgical Technologist role serving as a primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures.
• Specialty: CST Vascular
• Location: Paducah, Kentucky
• Contract length: 26 weeks
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0630-1500
• Call: every other day and every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with 7 years of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• NBSTSA or CST or NCCT or TS-C
• CST Vascular
• Technical diploma in surgical technology or comparable military training

Responsibilities

• Scrub into cases and prepare instruments and supplies
• Maintain the sterile field during case setup and throughout the case
• Pass instruments, assist the physician as needed, and support draping and patient positioning
• Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts
• Complete post-case cleaning duties, gross decontamination of instruments, and transport/return of instruments to Central Sterile
• Ensure the surgical suite is disinfected, stocked, and ready for the next procedure
• Complete mandatory hospital education and maintain compliance with HR and Employee Health requirements
