RN - Med/Surg Oncology

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

This role performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. It also includes health teaching, health counseling, documentation, patient referral as needed, and floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need. On-call may be required during a regularly scheduled shift.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Colorado
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Oncology experience
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor's degree of Nursing
  • Certification as appropriate for unit or service

Additional Notes

  • May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
