Travel Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Schedule: Rotate weekends/holidays every other week
• Float Requirements: Float to similar units based on census (Orthopedics and PCU)
• On Call: None
• Work Hours: Up to 36 hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when unit is closed)
• Shift Experience: Must have worked a night shift within the last year
• Time Off: Return to office (RTO) requests limited to 5 days or less
• Meetings: Travelers must attend meetings every other month

Unit Information

• 37-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit
• Patient types include medical admissions (cancer, pneumonia, hypoxia, COPD, dehydration, DVT, infections, GI disorders, pancreatitis, substance abuse, mental status changes) and surgical admissions (general, bariatric, vascular, urological, endoscopic, podiatric, ENT procedures)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6 on days and nights

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel experience required: Must have completed at least 1 successful travel assignment (No new travelers)
• Epic experience required within the last year
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
