Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Job Description

Work in a 16-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 3:1.
Schedule: Night shift, 36-40 hours per week with billable overtime after 40 hours.
Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
Orientation dates available: August 3, 10, and 17.
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC (experience highly preferred).
Scrubs: grey, solids.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa.
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience).
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
PALS issued by American Heart Association.
TNCC.
NIHSS.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Driver's License.
Drip/titrate experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin.
Telemetry measure and read experience.

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcomed.
No local candidates within 90 miles will be considered.
Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the health system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months.
Call back pay and on-call pay available (details not included here).
Orientation is 16 hours.
