Job Description

Work Days: Monday - Thursday
Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed
Call Requirements: Yes
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
Orientation: Bi-weekly schedule; must be fully compliant to start on time

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum 1 year of experience as MRI Tech (1st time travelers accepted)
Specialty Skills:
- MRI Tech - Diffusion (non-brain)
- Gradient Echo imaging
- Image Post-Processing (Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction)
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) & Perfusion
Experience with Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba

Required Certifications & Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
State License: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start, including education verification
Education Verification: Related degree verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
Physical Exam: Required within 12 months prior to start
Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
Immunizations & Health Documents:
- TB Test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months
- TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
- Flu vaccination or declination (required during flu season)
Color Blind Testing: Required for all candidates
Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
References: Two clinical references required

Requirements/Qualifications

MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
MRI Technologist experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
