Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 4x10 hour days (07:00 - 17:30)
  • Days: Monday through Friday (Day shift)
  • Weekend Requirement: No
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Charting System: Epic/Aria
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Radiation Therapy)
  • Years of Experience Required: 2 years
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not a first-time traveler position (implies prior travel experience required)
  • Floating: No floating between units required
  • Special Requirements:
    • Adult Acute Care experience required
    • Truebeam experience required
  • Unit Information:
    • Treats all cancer diagnoses
    • Experience with Hyperarc, Identify, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, DIBH
    • Use of Orfit setup equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ARRT (T) certification (Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist)
  • Experience working with adult patients
  • Experience in an acute care setting, specifically adult acute care
  • Truebeam technology experience

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • I9 or Attestation
  • Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front and back)
  • E-Verify or Attestation
  • Proof of Name Change (if applicable)
  • Background Checks (7-year, including SSN trace, Colorado state checks, education verification, sex offender search, sanctions list, etc.)
  • Education Verification (3rd party or transcript/diploma)
  • Physical Exam (within 1 year, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA)
  • Fit Mask Test (annual, specific mask types required)
  • Immunizations and Health Documents:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccination (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination
  • Drug Testing (within 30 days of start and annually)
  • Color Blind Exam (Ishihara exam required prior to start)
  • References: 2 references from last 2 years, including one from last year, from charge RN, manager, or supervisor
  • Employment History Verification: Last 3 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
  • Skills Checklist (annual)
  • State-specific CAPS check (Colorado) within 60 days of start

Additional Notes

  • Maximum of 10 return-to-office (RTO) days allowed during the contract
  • RTO not allowed during specific blackout periods in 2026
  • Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions
