Registered Nurse – Step-Down Unit (PCU)

Location: Auburn, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Seeking a Step-Down Registered Nurse with recent experience in step-down care. The unit cares for patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions including congestive heart failure, post-heart catheterization, vascular procedures, respiratory failure requiring BiPAP/CPAP/Vapotherm, and cardiac dysrhythmias.

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
PICC line management
Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Cardiac drip titration
Neurological care including acute stroke (CVA) management
Respiratory and thoracic care including BiPAP/CPAP management
Assistance with chest tube insertion and removal
