Overview

Travel/contract role in Toledo, Ohio
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Ratios: 1:4 on all shifts
Adults and geriatrics

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Experience in Charge roles
Experience with titratable drips
Experience with cardiac drips
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with Epic

Preferred

Observation Medicine experience

Unit / Clinical Setting

Observation Unit
Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg
Telemetry
Fast-paced department with an 18–24 hour length-of-stay goal
Floating within service line as needed, including Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surg, Uro/Vascular, and Observation

Additional Notes

EPIC charting
Free parking
RTO greater than 7 days requires management approval
Block schedule not accommodated

The lab had good equipment and was in a new building

Cons

The schedule was 8 hours days the schedule had no flexibility. I used 1 sick day as provided in my contract and they immediately contacted my agency to complain
