Job Overview

Travel/contract role in New Haven, Connecticut
13-week assignment
Night shift: 4x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
First-time travelers are not accepted
Pending license is accepted
Guaranteed hours
Block scheduling may be accommodated
Floating may be required within scope to other campuses and ED observation

Level I trauma center
Average nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6 on days and nights

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
ED - Emergency Department (1.5 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
TNCC
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Schedule Requirements

Every other weekend
On-call not required
RTO greater than 7 days requires approval

Additional Notes

Assigned to one campus with possible rotation to other campuses and ED observation
Travelers do not work trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units

Compliance / Onboarding

Epic charting experience is used at the facility
Parking is available for $125/month
