Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
Average patient visits per day: 210
Work environment: Large, urban, fast-paced Emergency Department with significant volume
Supports Patient Care Technicians (PCT) and Medics
Every other weekend coverage required, with 4 weekend shifts per contract
Experience with ventilated patients required
Level 1 trauma experience preferred
EPIC electronic medical record system experience required
No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required)
No local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with ventilated patients
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
