Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract
Location: Los Angeles, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks (3 to 6 months assignment)
Shift Schedule:
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
- May include occasional weekend coverage
- Floating to a nearby facility 1-2 times per week
Requirements
- California License in hand
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
- New graduates will be considered
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Certifications & Compliance
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (current and clear copy required)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
- State License verification as applicable
- National Tech Certification as applicable (for tech roles)
Background & Health Documentation
- Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Emergency Contact Form prior to start
- Standard background checks including 7-year search, sex offender registry, and annual updates
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific protocols for past positives)
- Immunization or titer proof for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Competencies & References
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Competency Exam as applicable
- Skills Checklist required annually
- Professional References:
- 2 for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care
- 1 for Per Diem Non-Acute Care
- Not required for Non-Clinical roles
Additional Notes
- 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Rates may vary based on experience
- Floating to a secondary location 1-2 times weekly may be required
- New graduates are welcome to apply, but minimum 1 year SNF experience preferred
