Job Opportunity: OT Home Health (Therapy/Rehabilitation)

Job Description

• Work setting: Home Health
• Schedule: 4/10s or 5/8s
• Average patients per day: 5-6
• Types of cases: Home Health focusing on gait, strength, range of motion
• Patient population note: Territory includes a metropolitan area with a high homeless population; however, you will not be working directly with this population.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Occupational Therapy (OT) in Home Health
• Minimum 1 year of Home Health/OASIS experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must have a valid California OT license at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification required
• References from previous Home Health or Hospice agencies required
• No on-call required

Additional Requirements

• Comfortable working in a metropolitan area with a high homeless population (parking/walking considerations)
• Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Must meet documentation and compliance requirements including:

  • Government issued photo ID
  • Background checks (within 1 year, including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender)
  • Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • Certifications: BLS (required), ACLS and PALS preferred but not explicitly required
  • Physical exam within 1 year
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • Professional references: 2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care or 1 for per diem non-acute care
  • Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Charting system: Kinnser/Wellsky
• Dress code: Scrubs (any color)

Notes

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week if minimum daily points (26-30) are met and timecard is approved by client
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates
