Ultrasound Technologist (0-2 years experience) - Contract

Location

Job Type

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (7 hours per day)
  • Contract length: 9 weeks

Job Description

  • Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations.
  • Provide technical assistance to Radiologists.
  • Prepare and examine patients according to departmental procedures.
  • Operate, adjust, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
  • Ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations.
  • Assist in orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
  • May handle scheduling and transportation coordination.
  • Follow safety precautions to protect patients and staff from hazards.

Required Qualifications

  • Ultrasound Technologist with 0 years of experience.
  • Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology.
