MRI Technician Position - New Jersey

Work Schedule

• Wednesday to Friday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No on-call required

Job Description

• Position patients on examining table and place specified coils (e.g., head coil, knee coil) near area of interest following Radiologist protocols
• Use microphone system to communicate with patients during examination
• Enter patient data including history, anatomical area, scan orientation, and entry position into MRI equipment computer
• Operate controls to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers
• Monitor patient safety and comfort through control room window and closed-circuit TV
• Review images on video display to ensure quality
• Photograph images by keying data into camera keyboard
• Alert staff about metal hazards in magnet room
• Perform other assigned duties

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience as an MRI Technician
• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Ability to read and interpret documents

Specialty Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as MRI Technician (higher value taken from range)
