Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment in Medford, Wisconsin
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: ASAP
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Schedule

• Mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts, days and pms
• Possible shift times: 0700-1500, 0700-1900, 1500-2300, or 1100-2300
• Rare occasion for a night shift
• Every other weekend, often every third
• Every other holiday

Float Scope

• Must be willing to float to Merrill, Wausau, Langlade, and Stanley

Required Qualifications

• WI or compact RN license
• AHA or ARC BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC
• 3+ years of emergency room experience

Preferred

• Epic experience

Unit Details

• 8-bed ED with potential flow into a couple of clinical exam rooms
• Ratio depends on acuity and can be up to 1:5

Additional Notes

• Radius rule: contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius
• On-call is not required, but encouraged
• Eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• Travelers may be placed on call for low census hours, and call-back pay applies if called back
• During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times
