Job Overview

• Work primarily in Radiology Ultrasound covering ER, Inpatient, RWCH, and Outpatient areas with 4 scheduled rooms.
• Unit has 9 full-time and 3 PRN staff covering 24 hours/day.
• Day shift staffed by 5 ultrasound/vascular techs; night shift staffed by 1 ultrasound/vascular tech.
• Patient ratios vary by area.
• Equipment used includes GE Logiq e9 (7 units) and GE Logiq e10 (1 unit).
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in use.

Typical Procedures

• General and vascular ultrasound exams (competency required).
• Abdominal, small parts, and OB/GYN ultrasound exams.
• All vascular ultrasound exams including carotid, venous, arterial, and PVRs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Vascular Sonographer within the last year.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
• ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.

Work Schedule & Environment

• 36 hours per week.
• Weekend night coverage is mandatory.
• No on-call duties.
• Dress code: solid, non-bright colored scrubs.

• Easy-going personality.
• Candidates with additional skills in vascular ultrasound exams will be prioritized.
