Key job details
- Primarily covers the addictions medicine department in a correctional setting
- Responsibilities include substance-withdrawal assessments and monitoring, detox rounds, medication administration, Suboxone inductions, and Methadone medication pass
- Must be able to remain on your feet for 80% of the shift
- Block scheduling requests may be approved based on unit need
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles
- No locals within 100 miles
- Pending license accepted
- First-time travelers accepted, with prior experience preferred
Required qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- MOAB
- 1 year of Wound Care experience within the last year
- Correctional experience
- Addiction Medicine experience
- Must pass facility background check
- Must be able to complete facility fingerprinting and background clearance requirements
Compliance and onboarding
- Driver’s license or state ID required; non-local driver’s license only
- Social Security card required
- Two professional references within three years of hire
- Complete application with at least 3 years of work history
- Skills checklist required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or documentation required year-round
- COVID vaccination is optional
