Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience in general surgery
Experience in spine surgery
Experience in neurosurgery, specifically craniotomies
Orthopedics experience
Orthopedic Surgery experience
Trauma experience
Neurology experience

Schedule / Call

On-call: up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts in a 13-week period, with a 30-minute recall
Weekend requirement: as needed, usually every 3rd weekend
RTO requires unit manager approval
Blocked scheduling is not guaranteed, but the unit will try to accommodate

Unit / Clinical Setting

OR in a Level I trauma center
11-room OR
High-volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases
Minimal pediatrics

Additional Notes

Cerner charting
Scrubs are provided for OR RNs
Free parking
1:1 ratio

Pros

Unit is traveler friendly Scheduling and call is fair Full time staff are team players Aya is the only traveling company they were using.

Cons

Cost of living for housing is insane! Pay package isnt that great. 20 to 30 percent of the hospital staff are travelers
