Job Overview

• Weekly schedule includes one weekend shift per month
• On-call: 1 call shift per week and 1 weekend per month
• Locals are not accepted; candidate must live more than 75 miles away
• First-time travelers are accepted

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with 1 year of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic
• Government-issued photo ID
• Background check required
• Education verification required
• State license verification required within 30 days of start
• Tech certification verification required within 30 days of start
• Color blind testing required
• Competency exam required
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
• Employment application required
• Skills checklist required annually
• Work history verification required
• References required for Aya candidates
• Must be able to complete health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of signing the contract

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire required in lieu of annual TB test renewal
• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season
• Eye exam within 1 year of start
• COVID vaccination documentation preferred but not required

Additional Notes

• Elective and emergency surgeries for adults and pediatric patients
• Assignment includes 23 operating rooms and 1 procedure room
• One weekend shift per month may be any shift
