Wound Care RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Clinton, Maryland
Start date: 9/21
Day shift: 5x8, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
One Saturday shift per month
Every 3rd weekend required
Every other holiday as needed
Patient ratio: 1:6
Locals within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maryland
Wound Care (3 years of experience)
Wound Care experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
WCC
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a Hospital setting
Experience with Cerner

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS certification
WOCN certification
Charge experience

Clinical Focus

Wound care for routine pressure injuries, new and chronic pressure injuries, and common/rare dermatologic conditions
Ostomy care for new ostomy placements
Skills include HAPI, Stage I-IV pressure ulcers, and wound/ulcer assessment and management

Work Environment

Uses wound vacs and novel therapies
Camera photography used
No tissue analytics

Additional Notes

Cerner familiarity is required
