SICU

Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15.
36 hours per week.
Contract length: 13 weeks.
Patient ratio: 1:2.
Weekend expectation: every other.
Floating may include other ICUs and SDUs.
This assignment may require participation in an Emergency Team during emergency events.
Holiday availability: must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana.
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (2 years of experience).
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year.
One completed travel assignment.
ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
BLS issued by American Heart Association.
NIHSS.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Cardiac monitoring experience.
Central Venous Pressure Monitoring experience.
Post cardiac surgery care experience.
Pre/Post cardiac cath intervention experience.
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy experience.
IV Therapy experience including blood product administration, central line management, and PICC line management.
Drip titration experience.
Chest tube insertion and removal care experience.
Care of ventilated patients experience.
Experience with Epic.

Preferred Qualifications

Liver, kidney, pancreas transplant recovery experience.
High acuity ICU experience.
LVAD/RVAD experience.
Heart Transplant recovery experience.
Lung transplant recovery experience.
