Stepdown Cardiac Nurse

Job Overview

Travel/contract RN role in Pinehurst, North Carolina
Night shift, 3x12 hours
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Stepdown float pool assignment rotating between multiple stepdown units
ASAP start

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Stepdown experience within the last year
1 year of stepdown experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with Epic

Schedule / Assignment Notes

7 days maximum requested time off
Unable to accommodate requested time off during major holiday weeks
Ratio: 1:4

Compliance / Onboarding

Government-issued photo ID required
Background check required
EPLS/GSA/SAM screening required
HHS/OIG screening required
NURSYS verification required
Color blind testing required
Competency exam required as applicable to specialty
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for stepdown
Physical exam required within 1 year of start
Tdap required within 10 years of start
TB screening required
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation required
10-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
Flu vaccine or approved exemption required during flu season
Two clinical references required
Skills checklist required annually
Facility modules must be completed before start
