Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel/Contract)
Location: Marion, Indiana
Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: June 8
Job Summary
- Critical Care Registered Nurse position in an ICU setting.
- Every other weekend required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana.
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Criminal background check completed within 30 days of start, including:
- SSN Trace
- County, National Criminal, and National Sex Offender checks
- Annual background screenings: EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
- Respirator fit test within 3 months of start and annually thereafter.
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap vaccine or declination (no expiration required)
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Qgold, or T-spot) within 3 months of start or clear chest X-ray if prior positive.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; if negative/equivocal, 2 boosters required (can start after 2nd booster pending).
- Hepatitis B: Titer or declination required (vaccination alone not accepted).
- Drug screening: 5-panel or more within 30 days of start (instant acceptable).
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct-April) unless approved exemption.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of annual mandatory competencies and facility orientation (online program, approx. 40 minutes).
- Review and adherence to facility dress code.
- Submission of IT access authorization form.
- Annual skills checklist.
- Two professional references within 3 years of start date.
Additional Notes
- Fit mask testing must be completed prior to start or on the first day by appointment if necessary.
- CAPR respirator use requires a failed fit mask test within 1 year of start for approval.
- Flu vaccination exemptions require approval from the staffing agency, not the facility.
