Job Opportunity: Pediatrics Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to float between Pediatric Post Partum and Special Care Nursery units
- Block scheduling: Not available
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel contract
- Pending license accepted, but quick start preferred
- On-call: Not required
Unit and Patient Population
- Pediatric Unit located within Post Partum Unit
- Pediatric cases include:
- Asthma
- Bronchiolitis
- Upper respiratory infections
- Suicidal ideation and other psychiatric issues
- Simple post-surgical care (appendectomy, tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy, etc.)
- Failure to thrive
- Jaundice
- Non-accidental trauma
- Post Partum care includes vaginal and C-section deliveries

- Electronic Health Record: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
