Location: Quincy, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position: Registered Nurse, CVICU specialty (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
- 2 years of specialty experience required
- CVU or CVICU experience is acceptable
- Local candidates are also considered
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- CVU (Cardiovascular Unit) experience also accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
- Locals are welcome to apply
- Strongly preferred (but not required) certifications for related specialties:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) for ER, PICU, PEDI, PACU
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) for LD, Antepartum, Postpartum, NICU, Nursery
- CHEMO certification preferred for Oncology
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred for ER
Facility & Compliance Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific documents and computer-based learning modules prior to start
- Annual updates required for core competencies and OSHA mandatory training
- Photo for badge (JPEG format) required
- Various acknowledgments and compliance forms must be completed before starting
