Job Description

• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, days (07:00 - 17:30)
• Workload: 4-5 weekdays per month and 1 weekend per month
• Unit Details:

  • 4 procedure rooms (3 cath lab rooms + 1 dedicated EP lab)
  • Caseload: Approximately 3 cases per room
  • Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Procedures:

  • Cardiac catheterization and interventions
  • Structural heart procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman)
  • Peripheral vascular angiography and interventions
  • EP ablations and device implants
• Scrubs provided

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Minimum 2 years experience in Cath Lab, Structural Heart, and Electrophysiology (EP)
• Experience with structural heart procedures
• Experience with surgery/C-Arm procedures
• Proficient in scrub technique
• Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
• Experience with fluoroscopy studies and fluoro permit required
• Knowledge and experience with stents, angioplasty, and angiograms
• Electrophysiology Technician experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Return to Office (RTO) paperwork must be submitted prior to contract start
• License verification required within 14 days prior to start
• Fire Card specific to Los Angeles required (2-week grace period allowed after start)
• Pass/fail testing for Dysrhythmia/EKG may be required onsite
• Physical exam within 1 year required, confirming ability to perform job duties without limitations
• Negative 7-panel drug test within 30 days of start required
• Immunizations and health screenings required, including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal flu and COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination during flu season (Nov-Mar)
• Annual mask fit testing required for applicable positions
• Professional references required (2 for clinical candidates)
• Skills checklist and competency exams required and must be up to date
