Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
• On-call requirements: Based on department needs; currently 1-2 days during the week, every 4th weekend, and rotating holidays
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
• Flexibility: May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Wisconsin state license
• ARRT certification (optional but preferred)
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification

Required Credentials and Compliance

• Ascension Specialty Exam: Must be completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years; minimum 80% passing score; only 2 attempts allowed
• Ascension Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year of start and updated yearly; minimum 80% score; only 2 attempts allowed
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation
• License/Certificate Verification: Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Health and Immunization Requirements:

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history; no declinations accepted
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
  • TB Testing: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within a year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit Test: Required annually; preferred prior to start
• Drug Screening: 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Professional and Background Requirements

• Ascension Profile (Resume) submission
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment
• Criminal Background Check: Includes Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others; completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start
• Education Verification: Must be completed within 90 days prior to start
• Employment Verification: Third-party verification for the past 7 years; updated annually
• Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually

Additional Notes

• Driver’s License/State ID must be current and valid
• Ascension Badge Photo required (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no filters)
• Medical Imaging Contract Worker Form completed onsite by facility
• Post-assignment evaluations may be required
