Job Opportunity: Inpatient Pharmacist

• Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Rotating shifts: Days (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) and Evenings (2:00 PM to 11:30 PM)

Unit Description

• Inpatient Pharmacy

Patient Population

• Newborn through geriatric
• Includes medical and behavioral health patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Massachusetts
• Pharmacy degree required
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting

Systems and Equipment

• Epic electronic medical record system
• Omnicell medication dispensing system

Certifications and Health Requirements (Must be current and verified prior to start)

• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or proof of immunity
• Tuberculosis (TB) test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
• Physician health statement within 1 year of start date and updated if break >6 months
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, national sex offender registry, and exclusion lists (OIG, GSA, Medicaid)
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• References: 2 within 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor-level reference
• Resume covering past 7 years of work experience with city and state details

Additional Preferred Health Information

• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred)
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years (preferred)
• If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray required
