Pharmacist Position in New York, Johnson City

Job Summary

• Ensure correct medication administration, including clinical appropriateness and proper product delivery.
• Interpret and clarify physician or authorized practitioner orders/prescriptions; intervene when clinically appropriate.
• Ensure orders/prescriptions comply with professional standards, state and federal laws, and departmental policies.
• Communicate with patients for prescription counseling and education as required by law.
• Maintain accurate controlled substance documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and supervise technical staff during distributive activities.
• Maintain general knowledge of order/prescription processing.
• Prepare, supervise, and check compounded product preparation.
• Prepare and execute pharmacy-related documents and reports to meet regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Work Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday: Shifts between 7 AM and 9 PM (mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts)
• Saturday and Sunday: Shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM (mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in New York
• Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic
