Sterile Processing Technician - Travel Position

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour variable shifts, Monday to Friday)
Hours per Week: 40 hours guaranteed

Job Description

• Support operations of the Sterile Processing Department.
• Perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of patient care instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• May work in sterile cores of Operating Rooms.
• Participate in all departmental activities following established policies and procedures.
• Weekend/Holiday: Work every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the ability to leave once tasks are completed and then be on call for the remainder of the shift.
• May be required to float to other central locations if needed.
• No holiday shifts required.

Required Qualifications

• Sterile Processing Technician (1 year of experience)
• Sterile Processing Technician experience within the last year
• Sterile Processing issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate Degree or Certificate

Additional Information

• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Guaranteed hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed.
• Orientation week hours are not guaranteed.
