Travel RN Opportunity – McKinney, Texas

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
• Location: McKinney, Texas
• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Call Requirement: One day a week and one weekend a month

Unit Information

• Unit: Surgery (OR)
• Number of Beds: 7 OR suites
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 6-7 CSTs, Orderly, Anesthesia Techs
  • Night Shift: 1 RN, 1 CST
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:1
• EMR System: Meditech
• Equipment: Various surgical equipment including robotics

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum Specialty Experience: 1 year in Operating Room nursing
• Required Clinical Experience:

  • General/Trauma OR skills (Labor & Delivery experience alone is not applicable)
  • Neuro and Ortho/Spine experience is mandatory
• Preferred Experience:

  • Trauma center experience
  • Additional Ortho experience

Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Nurse License (RN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
