Travel RN - PCU Multi Trauma Unit

Location: Denver, Colorado

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Medical Trauma Unit (MTU 655) – Step-Down Unit
• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Beds: 20
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, 3 techs
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, 2 techs
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 nurse to 4 patients (charge nurse is patient-free)
• Equipment: Vents, Feeding Pumps, IV Pumps, Wound Vacs, Specialty beds, Suction, Chest Tubes
• EMR System: Meditech
• Level: Level 1 Trauma Center

Required Skills & Certifications

• Certifications:

  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (preferred)
  • NIH Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Clinical Skills:

  • Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suction
  • Experience placing chest tubes and performing bedside bronchoscopies

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience in Specialty: Minimum 2 years
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
