Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit: Surgery (Main Campus)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 17 Operating Rooms
Scheduling: 7 AM - 3 PM or 7 AM - 5 PM shifts
Documentation System: Meditech
Equipment: Electrosurgical devices, Neptune suction, patient positioning devices, Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope (only system in Tennessee)
Floating Policy: Not applicable
Dress Code: Scrubs provided

Required Certifications and Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Tennessee Registered Nurse License
CST National Certificate (required for the unit)

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty
Previous experience circulating in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures required
Neurosurgical and general/robotic surgical experience preferred but not required

Skills and Responsibilities

Critical thinking and strong customer service skills
Procedures performed on unit include:
- Total joint replacements
- Spine fusions
- Neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies
- Robotic procedures
- General surgical procedures
- Urology
- Cardiovascular procedures including open heart surgery

Additional Information

The unit features advanced technology including the only Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope in Tennessee for neurosurgical procedures
Experienced staff and a supportive team environment
