Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department (Travel)

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ED)
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Work every other weekend and holidays as required
• ED is a 54-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 (critical/trauma) to 1:3-4 (other patients)
• ED treats over 60,000 patients annually
• Clinical setting with Meditech EMR system
• Dress code: Solid Navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing
• American Heart Association certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
