Unit Information

  • Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
  • Beds: 12 L&D, 8 triage, 11 antepartum
  • Staff: 72 total
    • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 12 RNs, 1-2 techs, 1 secretary
    • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 tech
  • Patient Ratios (estimated):
    • L&D: 1:2
    • Triage: 1:3-4
    • Antepartum: 1:4
  • Equipment: Centricity, GE monitors
  • EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

  • Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, dilation & curettage (D&C), hysterectomy assistance, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and fetal versions
  • Care for high-risk obstetrics patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Acute care hospital experience
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP
