Overview

• Travel contract in Washington
• Location: Silverdale
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 36 per week
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts; block scheduling allowed
• Orientation: 1 week
• Housing can be difficult and is available at additional cost

Required Qualifications

• 2 full years of experience
• Active BLS
• WA license
• Scrubbing required

Preferred Qualifications

• National certification is not required

Assignment Details

• Main OR has 7 suites
• 22–45 cases per day across three specialties
• Level 3 trauma
• No neuro
• Inpatient and outpatient cases
• 35–40% add-ons
• Common cases include general surgery, bowel resection, 2 robot rooms, Gyn, Urology, TURP, cystoscopy, lithotripsy, some bariatrics, and plastics
• Dental has its own techs
• Very rarely eyes
• Ortho has its own rooms, so no ortho in Main OR

Call and Float

• 5–6 call days for techs
• Call starts at 9 PM and ends at 6:30 AM
• Weekend call is 12-hour days and 12-hour nights
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Holidays are covered by rotation
• CVOR may float to Main OR
• Main OR nurses may float to vascular cases if they have experience
